Less than 48 hours..... oh boy

Hello... This is just a test run to set up my blog before I embark on my new adventure! As most of you know, I am leaving for the Navy on Tuesday May 5th, 2009. That is less than 48 hours from now.... oh boy. I am mostly excited for what lies ahead, yet the unknown always comes with a bit of anxiety :-)
I am heading to Great Lakes Naval training station, just about an hour north of Chicago, Illinois. I should be there no longer than 9 weeks, unless I screw up big time, in that case it may be longer. (Lets hope there are no screw ups!) After that, i will be headed to Pensacola, Florida for my CTT school.... (I will be a Cryptology Technician, in the intelligence department). That school is 82 calendar days, so my next 5 months are already planned. After that I will be coming home hopefully for a brief visit. Then I will be going to my base port, which could be one of many places. I am shooting for San Diego, CA as it will be a welcomed change of weather, and yet still stateside so I can visit and have visitors. But I won't know my final destination until late September or Early October.
I will do my best to keep general updates on here, however, during basic training I am not allowed computer access. So the next time you will be hearing from me on here will be sometime in July! In two days I am off to get the butt kicking of a lifetime! Wish me luck!
